You will find a fully stocked Kitchen and Pantry with most items needed for a comfortable enjoyable stay. Spices, Cooking Oils Coffee etc. On the large outdoor deck you will find a bbq grill and relaxing patio furniture.
Welcome to the Sterling Escape – BRAND NEW to the market! Great location in the heart of Sterling, Alaska, directly adjacent to the Moose and Kenai Rivers. Izaak Walton State Recreation site is also just across the street. Just 2.5 hours from Anchorage, Sterling is centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula, between the mountains of Cooper Landing and the city center of Soldotna, which has all your amenities, breweries and resturants…! The Sterling Escape is a wonderful home base, with modern amenities, for all your Alaska adventures.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you may need during your stay. Both bedrooms feature king beds, that can be split into two twins, upon request. There is an additional sleeper sofa in the living room. Our outdoor area comes equipped with a grill and plenty of comfy outdoor seating. In the garage, you will find all the extras for your Alaska activities: coolers, rain gear and even additional fishing set-ups! The whole Sterling Escape is yours to enjoy! Relax on the back deck after a day of Alaska Adventures, enjoying your favorite beverage and grilling some freshly caught fish. If you’re up for more outdoor fun, sit around the firepit also located in the backyard.
Our cabin is perfectly located just a short walk from public access to the Kenai River—ideal for guests who want to fish on their own or simply relax by the water. In the garage, you’ll find all the gear you need to enjoy a day on the river, including hip waders, rods, reels, nets, tackle, coolers, and even coffee mugs to take along on early morning outings. We’ve also stocked a chest freezer in the garage to store your catch until you head home.
As local Alaskans and the owners of Chasingtales Alaska, we operate a full-time Kenai and Kasilof River fishing guide service throughout the season. We’re just a call or message away if you need anything during your stay, and we offer discounted guided fishing trips exclusively for our lodging guests.
Sterling has a few local conveniences like restaurants, gas stations, and small shops. For major grocery shopping, we recommend stopping in Anchorage on your way down or heading to Soldotna during your trip.
